About

Mid-Kentucky Arts brings extraordinary music to the central Kentucky area.

Our Mission is to provide an opportunity for our Mid-Kentucky communities to experience a wide variety of superior quality arts and entertainment, as well as offer a forum for local and regional artists to be featured in their own and neighboring communities.

The goal of Mid-Kentucky Arts is to be an audience-friendly musical performance organization. We offer our audiences a wide variety of musical styles but our primary concern always is that our audiences enjoy the music. We want our audience to leave energized, happy, and glad they came. We regularly perform in Bardstown, Springfield, and Lebanon, with occasional concerts in Campbellsville, Louisville, Frankfort, and Lexington.

Mid-Kentucky Arts sponsors our Mid-Kentucky Chorus which is comprised of members of all ages and varied experiences lead by a first-class conductor. Professional soloists, talented instrumentalists, along with chamber ensembles and small vocal ensembles are featured in the concerts. Both the professionally trained and those who simply seek an opportunity to sing with others find a musical home within this talented group. The common denominator among members is a love of music and singing.

Although we sing mainly as a group, we feature a number of our soloists in each performance as well as provide opportunities for some of our very dedicated singers to have their own performances or concerts. The local talent is amazing. Many of the members are choral directors at area churches and schools or are semi-professional musicians.

The conductor of Mid-Kentucky Chorus and artistic director of Mid-Kentucky Arts is Ms. Teresa Tedder, an experienced and outstanding conductor, pianist and ASCAP composer. Ms. Tedder frequently uses her musical talents to enrich our programs with her own compositions and arrangements. Mid-Kentucky Chorus always welcomes new singers. If you are interested in joining our group of singers or if you would like to be considered for an instrumental performance, please contact Ms. Tedder at 270-789-9286.
