At the Hop! The Movie

Do you remember “back in the day” when rock and roll was grooving through all the dance halls and high school Sock Hops? And, do you remember back in 2009 when Mid-Kentucky Arts performed a fabulous show of 50’s and 60’s music with the Hot Rods, the Pink Angels, the Opalettes, Wolfman Jack and two Elvis characters? We all grooved and swayed as they performed some of the best of the oldies.

As our new music season opens, we would like you to re- live those “good ol’ days” with the movie version of the original live show, At the Hop! As we emerge from the pandemic, we would like to consider this program on our schedule as a fundraiser to help us get back up and performing live. Movie showings will be at the Springfield Opera House on the ‘big screen.’ Original cast members will be on-hand to usher you in.
